Using White Privilege to Fight Racism

(CC: “So you want to be anti-racist? In this series, I give you tips on the journey to anti-racism.

So in yesterday’s video, I felt like I had a lot of people who were a little bit confused. It was mainly white people who were asking, “where is the line where I step in or don’t step in regarding antiblackness and racism?” Now, this may have to be a few videos, a series wrapped in a series, but you can use your white privilege to fight racism. But, I want to back up a little bit.

Where did the term white privilege originate from? Is it a new term? Is it recent? Is it Gen Z language?

Actually no, it’s not a new term. The term was first used by W.E.B Dubois in 1935. And, it just means that you have advantages in society that other people who are not white just don’t have.

So, what can you do? How can you use your white privilege to fight antiblackness and racism?”)
