The Five Senses Just Perceive. Nothing More
The five senses always report neutral information. To the ear, sound is always just sound, nothing more. Like and dislike are shaped by the interpretive [thinking] mind that remembers, adds, modifies, and spins: The interpretive mind creates entire fictions around just sound, just sight. The voice that provides this running commentary is the monkey mind. It chatters away, jumping from one sense object to the next, overly active and quite excitable.
