No one stood and said what was right.

Martin Luther King Jr.

“No one stood up and said what was right
or pointed out what was wrong
we kept to ourselves, plugging away at our jobs
none of us realizing the real job
is to uplift and help others

We soon became the oppressed, the put upon, the picked on
we wanted desperately to be rescued, to be heard, to be freed
but no one pointed out what was wrong
they kept to themselves
ignoring our plight
and so we suffered
as we had let others suffer before us.”
