For Spiritual Gain, Sit Still

By only listening or reading you will not achieve anything [spiritually]. You have to do something practically and that is meditation. A simple example is that you gain anything in your life when you do something. If you want to gain in the spiritual world, there are no efforts, but you have to sit still with your body and mind, and meditate. The two worlds — the material world and the spiritual world — are opposite. To gain anything in the material world you have to exert yourself physically: you have to put in efforts physically with the body and mind. But if you want to gain in the spiritual world, it is the opposite. You do not have to put in any effort with the body or mind. You have to sit still — very simple — and that is called ‘meditation.’ So please meditate, so that you reach the goal expected of you by your Master . . . and you do not suffer anymore.
