Leave Your Yoga Mat at Lotus!

Some of us have this recurring sequence . . .

You’re looking forward to attending yoga class at Lotus Center . . . but you’re running late.

Do you have your car keys?
“Check.”
Your phone?
“Got it.”
Water bottle?
“10-4.”
Your loose-fitting yoga clothes?
“Stop micromanaging!”

Somehow, miraculously, you make it to the center with three minutes to spare . . . BUT, ARGHHH, YOU FORGOT YOUR YOGA MAT!!

Forgetting your mat is never a problem because Lotus beautiful Gaiam mats are available for use at no charge.

Perhaps an even better solution could be to keep a mat at Lotus! You may have noticed a separate mat rack in the southwest corner of the movement room (presented here by Lotus staff member Brooke Cressler). This rack — built and installed compliments of expert carpenter and Lotus friend, Mitchell Barsch — exists precisely for that purpose: So that you can conveniently keep a mat at the center.

Please help yourself! Spaces in the rack are free of charge and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thank you for supporting our non-profit, community-owned Lotus Center!

TLC (“The Lotus Center”) in the Community . . . Meditation in Public Schools (“MIPS”)

In response to a December 2022 request from the teachers at Aldo Leopold Middle School, Lotus Center dispatched one of our meditation instructors to lead weekly meditation classes to all five homeroom classes at the middle school.

We look forward to continuing our service to the Aldo Middle School in the 2023-24 school year, and to offering meditation to Snell Middle School in Bayard, New Mexico.

MIPS is provided at no cost to the students or the schools.
