Sound Bath

Join certified Sound & Consciousness Facilitator SLUM for Sound Bath on Saturday, September 9, from 7:00 to approximately 8:30 PM.

A Sound Bath is a positive, focused, intentional, full body listening experience that uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to NURTURE YOUR MIND AND BODY. The experience begins with each person lying down or seated in a comfortable position, often with a blanket and an eye mask.

— The practice of Joanna Macy’s “Active Hope” program and the “Great Turning”
— Thomas Berry’s “Great Work”
— A new scientific story by Brian Swimme’s

. . . with short videos, discussions, and exercises through which we will explore our evolving understanding of our Global Consciousness Together.

Our objective for this series: To create sacred responses to the overwhelming ecological and social challenges of our time.

TLC (“The Lotus Center”) in the Community . . .

Yoga in Public Schools (“YIPS”) is a community service project of Lotus Center, which began during the 2017/18 school year. Our mission for YIPS is to bring non-religious yoga classes, as part of their Physical Education curriculum, to public schools in Grant County, New Mexico. Thus far, Lotus instructors have taught yoga to students at Bayard Elementary, San Lorenzo Elementary, La Plata Middle, Guadalupe Elementary, Cliff, Silver High, Snell Middle, and Jose Barrios Elementary schools. YIPS is part of Lotus Center’s community service program, and is provided at no cost to the schools or the students.
