SCHDULE CHANGE: Apocalypse and the Change of Yogic Eras

TWO TUESDAYS: NOVEMBER 7TH AND 14TH

5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Lotus Center

Apocalypse as defined by the ancient Greeks refers to the uncovering of that which was previously hidden and would not be uncovered if not for the apocalypse. It is also translated as “A rending of the veils” (of ignorance) and includes a theme of revelation. Our current “uncovering” has been occurring at a dizzying pace. Although we go about our daily lives, the spectacular amount of suffering caused by wars and the crisis in American governance is not only making headlines in the media but it is having its effect on our own individual psyches. Some of us keep thinking “There must be a better way.”

There is, but in the drama of wars and political chaos, it is easy to forget that we are headed to a very bright light at the end of the tunnel.

I am adjusting the class curriculum to give us tools and a lantern of light to guide us through this time of dramatic shifts and change. While we do all we can to assist ourselves and others through these times, we must also engage ourselves in the power of positive solutions to the turmoil around us. This series will do just that.

While our current systems are destabilizing, we will explore a wholistic approach to spiritually based values and their active application to prepare us for a future that will be quite bright.

There is a centuries old saying, “It is always darkest before the dawn.” Dawn is the time that heralds the coming of the sun. The next two classes are about what that dawning and sunrise might look like for a transforming humanity. It is about practical solutions for the seemingly intractable problems facing us today. When we find ourselves in the darkness that precedes dawn, we can remember the wisdom that says:

YOU ARE NEVER ALONE OR HELPLESS, THE FORCE THAT GUIDES THE STARS GUIDES YOU TOO.
