I have mentioned that others can be mirrors in which we better view ourselves. As we care for others and extend ourselves to them, we can see the beauty of our own positive qualities in them. The world itself is a big mirror for us. In that largest of mirrors, the part we occupy will appear tiny amid everything else. We will hardly be able to see ourself, and we may appear insignificant. However, if we look into a smaller mirror, we and our connections to others will appear prominently and clearly. In that smaller mirror, we see that we have a place. That mirror is community.
