Join us for an evening of poetry with Larry Ollivier…
Larry considers himself a poet of place, his work is rooted in the natural world. He focuses on the specificities of bird and animal life, the plants and their life phases as the circle of the seasons turns, the complex, infinitely beautiful workings of the cosmos.
There’s a little philosophy, a little humor, even a bit of politics, all wrapped up in immediate personal experience. The natural surroundings are the heart and substance of his creative – and spiritual – practice.
About Larry…
Larry grew up in the Skykomish valley of Washington state. He attended the University of Washington in Seattle, where he took his BA in Creative Writing and American Literature, and my MA in Shakespeare and Renaissance Drama.
