Anahata chakra is the fourth chakra and is also known as the heart chakra. In yoga, chakras are known as centers of energy concentration where certain physical and subtle qualities reside. Anahata is the center of compassion, devotion, and love. As we work to cultivate compassion toward others, it can be helpful to direct focus and energy toward ahahata chakra. This can be as simple as crossing the hands over the heart or placing the hands in padma mudra (pictured), and visualizing a soft green light radiating from the heart as focus on the breath.
