Anxiety by Laurent Virzi

One of the strongest desires in our mind is the desire to put an end to the cycle of suffering. In simple words, we are all seeking the end of suffering; we want to be free from suffering. When we come to the Buddhist teachings we find there is a tremendous emphasis placed on ending this repetitive, vicious cycle of human suffering. This is a really beautiful desire, but sometimes we put too much effort into this striving. Then we are always thinking about ending suffering. We can have that desire for another ten years, or another twenty years, and trying to put an end to suffering is like another suffering. It’s like worrying about insomnia: it’s worse than insomnia. It’s like the fear of fear or anxiety about anxiety.
