Mark Doox’ Artwork Featured in the New York Times

This New York Times article, The Canonization of Saint John Coltrane features artwork from a great friend of Lotus Center and renowned artist, Mark Doox.

From Doox’ website, “His work is a meditation upon American democratic and spiritual ideals, the African-American experience, humanistic-existential reality, black folksy wisdom, and pragmatism. Doox’s offers a critique of American society and its spiritual and religious posturing, particularly in regards to the African-American presence and that of race in America.”
