A Thin Red Line: How has Economic Segregation Influenced Silver City NM and the Surrounding Area
As Undoing Racism has begun to open our eyes and encourage us all to educate ourselves, Silver City Museum is bringing the conversation closer to home.
This Saturday, May 21st at 11 a.m. at the Silco Theatre, in person and online through zoom, Silver City Museum curator Javier Marrufo, will begin this 2- part program with
“Chihuahua Hill: A Case Study in Division”
A presentation that examines the history of economic segregation in Silver City NM and its surrounding areas.
The second part is a community conversation that occurs after a brief intermission and features a panel of guest commentators composed of stakeholders in the community including local business owner, Patsy Madrid.
The Lotus Center invites you to join the conversation and take in the local history of Silver City.
