NVC Trainings Announced; Substantial Discounts for Lotus Center Community
Dear treasured Lotus community member,
From various communiques, you may recall reading that Lotus Center has made offerings in Nonviolent Communication (“NVC”) a cornerstone of our community service program. Indeed, over the past four years, Lotus has partnered with both the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and the Silver City Food Co-op to offer two different weekend NVC trainings, and we currently host an NVC Practice Group that meets twice a month at Lotus Center.These trainings and practice group sessions were made possible by Karen Starz, a Truth or Consequences-based certified NVC trainer. Karen has worked tirelessly (and joyfully) to help NVC take root (and flourish) at Lotus Center and throughout Grant County.

Beginning on October14, Karen is offering a three-segment training in NVC Fundamentals; I am thrilled to inform you that Karen is offering special discounts to members of the Lotus Center community for these “Fundamentals” trainings! As you can see, I am offering amazing discounts for the community connected to the Lotus Center and one may wonder:why? It is because Lotus Center and the community it is supported by has made a huge effort to live Nonviolence through a four-month-long Restorative Dialogues Process which I facilitated. I am so impressed by this commitment and by the extended community’s courage to bring real issues forward that I want to support this momentum with very accessible prices. Part of what was focused on in this restoration was inclusion, belonging, and mutual understanding. My discounted rates reflect a further commitment to all three of these values.
