Save the Date: Qigong with Ishan Das Starts on January 4

Please join Ishan Das for Qigong Practice beginning Wednesday morning, January 4 at 9:00 AM.

Ishan Das has studied Qigong with Dr. Roger Jahnke, Dr. Paul Lam, Robert Peng and Sifu Anthony.

Qi (pronounced “chee”) is the vital energy that flows through our bodies and all of space. In India this energy is called “prana.” Various ancient cultures and indigenous groups, have recognized this universal force, calling it by different names. The word “gong” means skill. Qigong is cultivation of the skill of optimizing the flow of Qi within our bodies. Qigong enables us to maintain good health, increase our vitality, create a sense of psychological well-being, harmonize body and mind for enhancing meditation, and also is the basis of various forms of martial arts. In these classes Ishan will give a general introduction to the concepts, movements, postures and breathing used in Qigong so that one can immediately begin to apply them at home. Anyone who puts just a little energy into the practice of Qigong will very soon say to themselves, “Why didn’t they teach us these things when we were kids?”

Looking forward to seeing you at the Lotus Center, and wishing you “good Qi”,

Ishan Das
